Student membership provides a reduced-access professional entry point for active university students and recognised training trainees.
Applicants provide current enrolment evidence from a university, college, or recognised teacher-training programme. The category is intended for people building their foundation, not for representing an unverified qualification as a professional teaching credential.
Student members receive curated education news, selected learning resources, event notices, and an introduction to professional conduct expectations. The category supports informed career decisions while respecting the learning process still underway.
Student status is reviewed annually. Members moving into paid teaching should apply for the appropriate professional category and ensure their training, insurance, and local requirements are in place.
Every IPMA public programme page is maintained as an operational guide, not a marketing promise. Requirements are reviewed with educators, institutional partners, and governance advisers so that members can understand both the opportunity and the responsibility attached to participation.

The Alliance applies clear publication, documentation, and review practices to this area of work. Participants receive a defined point of contact, written expectations, and a pathway for raising questions before a decision, enrolment, or professional commitment is finalised.
