Research Archive
The IPMA research archive indexes peer-reviewed literature and evidence-reading resources relevant to Pilates, movement education, and professional decision-making.
Archive categories include spinal alignment, postural imbalance, core stability, athletic conditioning, injury prevention, and movement participation. Inclusion in an index does not mean that a study establishes a universal effect or that its conclusions apply to every client.
Each entry is presented with citation information, population context, study design, and practical questions for educators. Members are encouraged to consider limitations, conflicts, outcome measures, and the difference between correlation, mechanism, and clinical recommendation.
Research literacy helps instructors communicate honestly. It supports thoughtful programme design and referral awareness while avoiding exaggerated claims about treatment, cure, or guaranteed outcomes.
